Vintage corset top (SIMILAR FOR SALE HERE), Vintage maxi skirt, Dollhouse heels

Happy Friday! I'm having an extremely productive week and I'm feeling pretty good about it despite being a little under the weather. I don't know if anyone can tell or not (I'm sure you can), but, I'm obsessed with corset tops and backless blouses. There is just something so feminine about them. I love to pair ultra feminine things with masculine and I guess you could say frumpy things. I'm also becoming more and more into maxi and midi length skirts. I think I'm expanding my horizons. I have a few exciting things to share this weekend so stay tuned!

Near sunset.

Thrifted vintage top, Forever 21 dress, Aldo heels, bag from Costa Rica.

So, I have bangs guys. I've been wanting to change something about my hair for the longest time. I was going to dye it something crazy but I decided I'll start with bangs. They aren't exactly what I wanted. I wanted something a little more "bohemian," I guess, but, they're growing on me. Hopefully they'll be a little longer in a couple weeks and I can get more of an angle on the sides of them. I'm so excited for the weather to change. Today it was still hot but far less unbearable. I'm itching to wear all the amazing vintage pieces I've found in the past few weeks. By the way, I don't know if I'm the only one, but I really like going through the Halloween section at Wal-Mart. I found a great black lipstick that is actually a lot more awesome than I thought it would be and I found a pair of black leggings with a skeleton design on them that look like some designer pair I've seen about a year ago. Amazing. Also, I'm on the hunt for a pair of crazy black boots. Any suggestions?

The giveaway has ended! I used random.org to pick the winners. The winners are Morgan, Annette, and Shareen! Congratulations guys! I'll be contacting you all soon to send out your goodies! Thanks to everyone who entered!

Let go.

H&M Bathing Suit, Vintage Levi's
I took these photos over a month ago. I figured since this is the officially the last week of summer, I'd say goodbye to summer with them. I can almost smell the air changing. This time of the year always makes me feel melancholy. Last year around this time I was going through a lot. It seems like this fall isn't that much different so far. I'm trying to not make sense of things. I'm trying to just let them be. I'm the type of person that always wants answers to the problems I'm handed. I want to know what the future holds for me. I like to make plans. I make lists. I get my hopes up easily. I'm trying to make changes in myself and realize that I can't hold on to things I can't control. Hopefully, instead of searching for answers, they'll just come to me. I've never really thought that things happen for a reason but I hope that in time I'll be proven wrong.
I just have to remember that sometimes no matter how tightly and for how long we hold on, we are forced to let go.

Black Velvet.

Thrifted black velvet crop top, Forever 21 leggings, Dollhouse Heels, Bebe clutch
I've had these leggings for a while. I really love the crazy pattern on them. I'm still getting used to wearing leggings as pants. I'm also trying to transition my wardrobe into fall, but, the weather really isn't transitioning very much. So, I'm pretty much doing it for no real practical reason.

Giveaway time!

Heavy metal lover.

Vintage by Shevahh top (for sale HERE), thrifted skirt, Forever 21 boots

I've decided that I'm ruling out not wearing something because I've read or heard somewhere that it doesn't fit my body type. I've said it before and I'll say it again...I'm short. I'm 5'2'' to be exact. I always thought that any type of skirt or dress that fell below my knees would make me look my height, if you know what I mean, and honestly they do. My point is that I've let go of any apprehensions about it. Whatever I feel like wearing, I'll find a way to make it work. I've been having a lot of fashion epiphanies lately. Dont you love when that happens? Fashion epiphany would be a great name for a blog by the way, so if you're thinking of a name still and no one else has that name, you're welcome.

Oh, by the way, I just reached 500 followers on google friend connect! Thank you guys for all of your support and all of your encouraging comments. I can't believe how many amazing people I've met through blogging. So, I'm going to fulfill my promise of doing a giveaway with my next post! I'll be giving away three different items, so, there will be three winners. More details in my next post. Stay tuned!

Don't you remember?

Vintage by Shevah Sheer Blazer (SOLD), H&M bodycon denim dress, Lita's

I've recently realized that I hardly ever wear dresses. I honestly don't know what it is. Maybe it's because of all those years of being a serious tomboy. Even after I purchase them they seem to just hang in my closet for months until I decide to finally wear them. I've come to the conclusion that I should wear women's dresses more often. Hopefully, I can find the time to do all the side projects I was hoping to be able to do, like some videos, and more fashion illustrations to share. I wish, like I'm sure many of you also do, that there were more hours in the day.
By the way, when I reach 500 followers on Google Friend Connect, I'm doing a giveaway. That's a promise.
